As part of the 2025-2026 Academic Year Orientation Activities of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ), students at the Bafra Campus had an enthusiastic gathering.
The program, attended by students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Tourism, Bafra Vocational School, Tourism Vocational School, and Alaçam Vocational School, included academic information, institutional tanıtım stands, a singing performance by students from the OMÜ State Conservatory, reels competitions, and surprise activities. During the event, students both learned about university life and enjoyed pleasant moments through social activities.
OMÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kürşad Daş, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut, Director of the Tourism Vocational School Assoc. Dr. Zuhal Çilingir Ük, Director of Bafra Vocational School Prof. Dr. Ömer Çalışkan, Director of Alaçam Vocational School Assoc. Dr. Zümral Gültekin, and students participated.

Speaking at the program, OMÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz expressed his happiness at seeing the students among them, saying, “You have left behind a challenging exam process and are now part of the Ondokuz Mayıs University family. Our university, with its 50-year-old history, is one of the most important educational institutions in our country. Our goal is to be among the best universities in Turkey. We are determined to achieve this goal together with our students and academic staff. When you graduate from here, you will experience the pride of graduating from one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey.”
Kurnaz also announced that a new shuttle service has been launched to facilitate transportation to the Bafra Campus, in response to student requests.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kürşad Daş, stated in his speech that they were experiencing the excitement of starting the new term with the students, saying, “Today, we have here the new students of our Alaçam, Bafra, and Tourism Vocational Schools, as well as our Faculty of Tourism and Faculty of Pharmacy. I thank you all for choosing our university and joining our family, and I wish you a successful academic year. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the preparation of this program, especially our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın, all our administrators, academic and administrative staff, and our volunteer student friends.”
The event, held at the Bafra Campus, was a colorful spectacle with the intense interest and participation of the students.
