Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Faculty of Tourism hosted a significant event addressing the role of foreign languages in the tourism sector and their impact on career development.
The talk, titled “Foreign Languages and Their Importance in Tourism,” featured Sedat Uygun, founder of a language school, as a guest speaker. Held on November 12, 2025, in the Faculty of Tourism Conference Hall, the event provided comprehensive information on foreign language learning strategies, improving communication skills, and the contribution of language to professional success in tourism.
Students shared their views on the advantages offered by language proficiency in the sector and expressed their satisfaction with the event.
At the end of the interview, a raffle was held among the participants, and the winners received prizes including a one-month Plus More training program, a discount voucher, and a private tutoring package.
The interview concluded with the Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut, presenting a certificate of appreciation to the speaker, Sedat Uygun.
