As the Ondokuz Mayıs University Addiction Prevention Application and Research Center (OMÜBAM), we continue our activities aimed at increasing social awareness in line with our mission of combating addiction. Within this framework, a significant sporting event is being organized in cooperation with the Samsun Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Canik Municipality, Yeşilay (Turkish Green Crescent Society), and the Samsun Pickleball Association.
This event is the "Family Pickleball Championship" and the "Provincial Pickleball Championship," to be held on November 29-30, 2025, at the Canik Municipality Hasan Doğan Sports and Education Center. These championships aim not only to promote sports but also to disseminate awareness of addiction prevention and healthy living through sports. The critical role of physical activity and strong family/social ties in combating addiction forms the main theme of the event.
